Outstanding points made here! Fascinating thread! That's why I like studying from the King James Bible; because you can take it, look at this way and that, reflect on it, test theories with it, and it doesn't change!
This thread would make a great group discussion in Sunday school. Actually, I think I may print it out and use it as a spring board to discuss the Creation week with my children. |

Preparing
Just a quick comment about the word "prepare". I do prepare myself for work every morning. Do I have my lunch, do I have my laptop, am I wearing appropriate clothing, etc.
So when God "prepared" the great fish, He may have "gotten it ready" to swallow up Jonah, perhaps by making it very hungry and moving it into position. Doug A. |

what is interesting is that we are told in the NT by Jesus that the great fish is a whale and you will follow whale to Gen 1 and you will see the Whales were specifically said to be created. God has prepared everything from the foundation of the world. Even the good works that you should walk in according to Eph 2:10 |
