Aloha brother,

I do not know who Dr. Michael J. Bisconti is, but I have read all of the above books listed and I can tell you that they all range from good to excellent. It sounds to me that someone is jumping on the "bandwagon" (30-50 years late) and making themselves an "AUTHORITY" ("Final Authority" ) on this issue.

I have listed several books with a short synopsis - please check out this link: http://www.thywordistruthkjv.com/booklist.html

Now, nobody is "perfect", but I am sure that the books listed are not any more "defective" than, than Dr. Michael J. Bisconti's book.

I suspect any one trying to make living on this issue by criticizing some of the brethren that endured "the heat of the day" for the last 20 - 30 - 40 - or 50 or more years. Bisconti's bookS should be read very carefully. I am suspicious of people who claim that their work is better than someone elses.

I have spent thousands of hours studying this issue between 1968 - 1988 and I never heard of the "THE ANCIENT HEBREW, ARAMAIC, AND GREEK OF THE ORIGINAL LANGUAGES BIBLE". It doesn't EXIST!

Hey, George, those multi-versionist guys over at FFF all claim to have one! They have just "misplaced" their copies somewhere.

that's a good one Tim.

none of them have produced any when I ask. once in a while I get a smart alek who will point to his NIV or NLT or even his NKJV.

I have asked many if they ever saw an original all will say no. no one yet has said yes.

But my money is on the fact the the KJV is a preserved copy of the original.

Default Dr M.J. Bisconti

Hello Brother, Even though I haven't read the books I have to go along with George on this one because the way in which Dr M.J. Bisconti's works are promoted does seem to put down some trustworthy sources as a springboard from which to advertise what he has to say.

Most people in the KJB camp tend to give honour to the labours of their predecessors as this guy appears to be presenting himself in a similar way as a new Bible version does (i.e. bringing into question all that has been said before him).

Now after saying that, I would like to read his works before I make my mind up, but I am a little suspicious of the site.

God bless

That website is really weird.

This mysterious "Nexus" organisation is promoting something called the “King James Version III” or “International Authorized Version”, which is different to the King James Bible. They are pretending that it is the same, but it is different, as you may see here:

http://thefortyyearsprojects.com/int...zedversion.htm

They admit to changing just under 1% of the KJB vocabulary!

http://thefortyyearsprojects.com/why...jvisbetter.htm

They show some of their changes to the KJB.

http://thefortyyearsprojects.com/wea...ransdialection

They have a witchcraft-like for and against approach which ultimately makes the argument nothing, as may be observed here:

http://thefortyyearsprojects.com/wil...llyeverend.htm

In fact, it is like they are substituting Masonic or occultic terminology to "defend" the KJB:

http://thefortyyearsprojects.com/kin...fprecision.htm

http://thefortyyearsprojects.com/fal...ikjvempire.htm

It leads to double talk, which is all disguised to mean that they are changing the KJB without apparently changing it (but they actually are, because in Genesis chapter 1, they have changed "his" to "its" several times.)

http://thefortyyearsprojects.com/aut...jamesbible.htm

The following is a very strange "prophecy", in which they claim that their new International Authorized Version will become the world standard, and that there will be "interpretation wars" over it. Surely, it seems like the Nexus organsiation is producing a "Standard Bible" for the future New World Order. Remember, this version is up to 0.099% DIFFERENT to the present KJB!

http://thefortyyearsprojects.com/now...rwhatsnext.htm

Finally, the view that Pure Cambridge Edition is that it is perfectly presenting the King James Bible to the jot and tittle is in complete contrast to the kinds of hidden alterations, double-talk and nonsense given by the Nexus organisation.

Thank you for all your responses.
BP, I am staying away for this author. His claims don't settle well with me. Like you said, it's weird.

Yeah, I came across this website some time ago in my studies on this subject. Note also that there are so many "link not yet activated" statements all over, yet these are the sections that would have the "real" meat, if there were any.

Lots of jibberish and made-up jargon.

Also, he states lots of things about other Bibles being profit motivated, yet his books cost money as well.

The page at: http://thefortyyearsprojects.com/sta...ledefended.htm states that they are "still working on their pricing", yet this was from 2006...

I'd stay away for other than entertainment value.

Brother George,

Thanks for this book list. I want to add to my library and it's good to know which are worthwhile to purchase.

I'd also recommend Dr. Samuel Gipp's An Understandable History of the Bible (500+ pages). Have you ever read it?

Additionally, I'd recommend Dr. Solomon Aordkian's Honoring the King James Bible. I've just completed formatting and typing up an electronic version of Solomon's book and he wants to give everyone the freedom to distribute it without cost, once the final edited copy is ready. He is adding a new Intro right now. He's going to rename the electronic version The Bible Version Issue. I would highly recommend it for many excellent examples of why these other modern versions are nothing but counterfeits of God's true Word.

When the final copy is ready, I'll be happy to give it out freely here at the Forum. We will probably also create a website where it can be downloaded for free. I've been working regularly with Dr. Aordkian on this project, and he is such a humble man. He wishes for the information to be in the hands of as many people as possible, without cost - so that all can access it.

Aloha sister Jassy,

I haven't updated that list in quite a long time. Brother Brandon has some recommendations on some of the latest books on the "Which Bible" issue (some of which I have read, and others which I have not) at the following Link: http://av1611.com/kjbp/books.html - you might want to check out some of those books, seeing they are up-to-date; although the basic "facts" about the issue have never changed, so much of what is being written is a re-hash of what others have already written (from a new and different point of view).

Sister Gail Riplinger is an excellent source of information on the "Which Bible" issue, and often has a new or different viewpoint on the subject also: http://www.avpublications.com/avnew/home.html I have read several of her books on the issue and they are excellent.

I have a very dear and close Christian friend who knows sister Riplinger personally - who (with his wife) has been in her and her husbands home and has fellowshipped with them on occasion, and who says that she is a warm and very humble Christian woman who is undeserving of the vicious attacks (by "Christians" - of course!) that have been brought against her (even by some supposed King James Bible "supporters").

You will notice that I will recommend books and authors when it comes to issues like "Which Bible"; or "Calvinism"; or Psychiatry/Psychology; or "Apostasy" in the churches; etc.. What I try to avoid is recommending "Commentaries" on the Bible; you have to be extremely careful when it comes to reading some man's commentaries on the Bible, and always be on guard (spiritual discernment) against "mixing" man's opinion with the Holy words of God.

Is Dr. Solomon Aordkian's book - Honoring the King James Bible still available? And if it is, where could I buy a copy? I greatly appreciate the work that you are doing to make his work available to the brethren (for free), and I understand where brother Aordkian is coming from (I have never charged for any of my written materials), but on the other hand: ". . . . the labourer is worthy of his hire." [Luke 10:7] and upon your recommendation, I would like to purchase his book and support him (in some small way), because I know and appreciate the labor that goes into producing a book.

I want to encourage you to keep on with your excellent Posts, and if anyone harasses you - brother Tony Bones and I will "take care of them"!

Psalms 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

{P.S. I don't know if this may be some information you could use, but I thought I would pass it on to you for your review. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/132431}
