I'm knew here, but I ran into a similar attack from a christian man.He said Sir Francis Bacon edited the KJV1611 and he was a Freemason,so this man dosen't accept any version as the infallible word of God,because men wrote it.

I never heard any where that Sir Francis Bacon edited the KV1611. He left England at the time of King James because his studies of Alchemy were concidered demonic and after seeing th ehorific treatment of his friend John Dee he did not want to sufffer the same teatment he went to Germany and many beleived he traved to the New World and established the order of rose and Masonic offshoot. He was a scientist and may have been a freemason but he was not a translator of the KJV and I never saw his name on any list of translators.

I think your friend is wrong and it would be good for you to show him the truth. sounds like he got some bad second hand information.

This is called historical revisionism. It is in line with the sensational reporting that the smallest unreliable details of badness be blown up to make the godly men the worst that ever lived. Just look at how King James is made into a tyrant and child abuser!
Wow, I am glad to see there are few out there that believe God's WORD. I pray for those that have a problem with it. There is places in the Bible where people drank and got drunk, and there is another place where they drank, and didn't get drunk. When they drank wine and didn't get drunk, they were drinking fruit of the vine unfermented called today grape juice. God says wine is a mocker and strong drink is raging and whosoever is decived thereby is not wise Proverbs 20:1 Much Love Lisa
