Well, to be completely fair, many non-Muslim men kill their wives.
That said, one of the most appalling features of Islam to me is the lack of love and forgiveness for their own family members. There was recently a feature on America's Most Wanted where a Muslim man killed his two daughters because they had been dating. http://www.amw.com/fugitives/case.cfm?id=51983 And many of the suicide bombers worldwide have been very young men (some women as well), often teenagers, whose families knew and even endorsed the bombings. In my opinion that is as low as you can get. If I felt by principle that I must kill my enemy, I would use myself as a suicide bomber, not send one of my young children to their death. This is as cowardly as you can possibly get. I have always believed that if the media worldwide could focus on this cowardly act, it might actually make a difference. If the whole world were to call these extremists the cowards they truly are, they might be shamed into stopping these horrible crimes. |

They walk among us...
ISLAMBERG Muslim-Only Town in N.Y. Founded by Alleged Terrorist ISLAMBERG was founded in 1980 by Sheikh Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani, a Pakistani cleric who purchased a 70-acre plot... Federal authorities say Gilani was also one of the founders of Jamaat al-Fuqra, a terrorist organization believed responsible for dozens of bombings and murders across the U.S. and abroad. The group was linked to the planning of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, and 10 years earlier a member was arrested and later convicted for bombing a hotel in Portland, Ore. Shoe bomber Richard Reid has been linked to the group, along with convicted D.C. sniper John Allen Muhammad. But it is Sheikh Gilani who creates the most controversy and concern. Gilani has told his followers that "Zionist plotters" plan to rule the world, and he encourates them to leave America's cities and avoid the "decadence of a godless society." Gilani is the man American reporter Daniel Pearl was trying to interview in Pakistan when he was kidnapped and beheaded. The Sheikh was taken into custody and later released by Pakistani authorities; he denies any involvement in Pearl's murder. more here: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,510218,00.html Probe finds terrorists in U.S. 'training for war' "We hear bursts of gunfire all of the time, and we know that there is military-like training going on there... more on ISLAMBERG, NY: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/ar...TICLE_ID=48868 |

Jihad plot foiled in New York
NEW YORK, May 21 (Reuters) - New York's mayor and police chief sought to calm Jewish worshipers on Thursday, the morning after authorities said they foiled a plot to blow up two synagogues and simultaneously shoot down military planes... "They stated that they wanted to commit jihad," Kelly told reporters, using a term that can mean holy war. "They were disturbed about what was happening in Afghanistan and Pakistan, that Muslims were being killed. They made the statement that if Jews were killed in this attack that would be all right." more here: http://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/3957 |

Now the terrorists have lawyers, and they are suing...
Judge rules Padilla can sue former Department of Justice Attorney In a surprising ruling, a federal judge has determined that convicted terrorist, Jose Padilla, can sue former Department of Justice lawyer, John Yoo, over Yoo’s legal opinion that led to Padilla being held as an enemy combatant.... http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/...an_sue_fo.html On August 16, 2007, José Padilla was found guilty, by a federal jury, of charges against him that he conspired to kill people in an overseas jihad and to fund and support overseas terrorism. Padilla, 38, was arrested in Chicago in 2002 on suspicion of participating in a radioactive "dirty bomb" plot, declared an enemy combatant and placed in solitary confinement in the Navy brig. He was never charged in the bomb plot, but was indicted on other charges in 2005, was transferred to a federal prison and was convicted in a U.S. court in Miami in 2007 of supporting overseas jihadism. He was sentenced to 17 years and four months in prison. http://www.ktvu.com/news/19741701/detail.html |
