Default Welcome to the new USSA

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the new United Soviet States of America. Our great leader, Comrade Obama, is the most benevolent and loving of any leader we've ever had. He's taken it upon himself to help the unfortunate out of the state funds, to punish capitalist pigs, and to strengthen government so he can deal with any problems that arise.

Welcome, and enjoy!

Brother,

This is nothing new. The USA has had quite a few socialist presidents and very disastrous administrations. After Hoover's terrible "middle of the road" policies nudged us towards big government "management" of the economy, FDR gave us a long and protracted depression. (FDR made the depression great.) And Americans re-elected him three times -- apparently happy with 1 in 4 unemployment and all of that.

And don't forget Carter -- to me, Obama seems like the second term of Carter.

Nothing new under the sun.

Bush reminds me of Hoover in a way. While Bush didn't raise taxes on us at the worst possible time like Hoover did, Bush still governed with the policy that the government must intervene constantly to "fix" the free market. And Obama is a lot like FDR -- full of speeches and smooth talk, but without an ounce of understanding of what he is about to do.

But again, this isn't to be unexpected and it's not new. Control what you can control. You voted; now it's time to provide for your family as best you can and render unto Obama what is Obama's.

It's sickening to read the news this morning. Celebrations are happening all around the world because the world loves Obama. They're all excited about the new America....

This is going to be worse than anything America has ever seen.

Yes,but ,God is still in control. I see it as just another prophetic nail in the coffin. Look to God, not our worldly leaders.

All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.

(Isaiah 40:17)

Something tells me that God doesn't really care much about the USA, other than as far as the Apple of His Eye (Israel) is concerned.

For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.

(Numbers 23:9)

Well we can thank Mr. Abe Lincoln for the great strong government that we have today. And to think the Republicans actually CLAIM that guy!

Actually Lincoln left the Republicans and started a third party.
What a loser.

Brother, I'm not sure I understand what you're saying; at the time, the Democrats and the Whigs were the main parties; Lincoln was the first Republican president. We all know how that turned out...

Are you people going to let this man have the power over your joy and pain? Don't!

In two years you will have the chance to throw out the House of Representatives. Look forward to the next time you have a chance to "have your say."

Until then, rejoice that you are still in the greatest country on Earth and that God saw fit to stick you in a place where you won't go to jail and be tortured for preaching Christ.

Find things to be happy in. Here in Oklahoma, we sent Inhoffe back to the Senate, and it was actually a pleasure to vote for him. Plus, the Republicans expanded their majority in the state government. And 65% of the voters voted against Obama here.
