Question If it happens...........

If Obama should win how many of you think Christians in America will remember to Pray for Obama? I truly wonder? You know people, I am Republican, have been since I was able to vote, there is a thing that has rather concerned me, the fact that most Evangelical Christians view the GOP as THE CHRISTIAN PARTY, I say it concerns me in that based on comments I have heard from friends and people in this "neck of the woods" is that it (the GOP) has become dangerously close to being an idol of sorts for some. Again I write this as a Christian who is a Republican, Holy-Writ tells us God sets up and deposes Kings, the province of rulers and authorities is His. This leads to an interesting question, should the Almighty, strip the Christian people of a Republican Leader, would the Christian community in the US follow the mandate of Holy Scripture, and Pray for those in Authority? Even Obama. Thoughts?

I prayed often when Bill Clinton was in office. I prayed that God would limit the damage to our nation that he was causing for the sake of His people. I prayed that God would hinder the policies that he supported, that God would confuse the false counselors, and that God would give courage to those in power who were Godly.

I left out an option, one which I "vote" for:I HOPE Christians would remember and follow the mandate of Holy Scripture.

I think all Christians that actually believe God in His Word will be faithful in praying for the nation and its leader. I will be.

Peace and Love,
Stephen

Good man! I think Clinton could have done MUCH harm without Prayers....

I don't think most Christians will pray for him, mainly because there is so much apostasy here in America.

I heard that during the Clinton administration, there was an increase in prayer...for the Lord to return!

Pray for damage control and Gods guidance in the direction this nation goes.

To a degree you are correct about apostasy in America, so to clarify I speak only of the true Christian. Tank you for pointing that out I was vague by using Church in a few places. Blessings.

Yes, I will certainly pray for him.
I will pray that Obama trips on a KJV Bible, picks it up, reads it, understands it, gets saved, then stops supporting gun bans and partial birth abortion, and forsakes his roots with communists like his father Obama Sr. and Frank Marshall Davis, and forgets his political beginnings with bomb throwing terrorists like Bill Ayers and America-haters like Jeremiah Wright, and actually does something good for America.

"But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." Matt. 19:26
