HAI,

It was a joke. If you knew him you'd understand.

Sorry I missed it.

I'm a bit sheltered, I think. Since I got saved, I have spent most of my time in the Bible and reading books by Brothers Ruckman, Grady, Larkin and Sister Riplinger. I have read very little 'Christian' fiction. The name Hal Lindsey rang a bell, but I don't know what books he has written without going to google.

I still read some secular fiction, but some of my most favorite books I have given away, because when I read them, they grieve me with their position re: Christians/Christianity and my Lord. It didn't used to bother me.

I don't care for much Christian fiction, but I do like some. Someone appeared to be indicating that they thought the idea of Christian fiction at all was ridiculous, and that was what my post was in response to. Something just doesn't sit right about the whole "Christian horror" idea.
aussiemama, thanks for explaining that.

You can call me by name. Lol
My girlfriend likes to read novels by blackwell and copeland. I am not against these things. When reading something that is supposedly christian or has references from the Bible, i want it to be true and accurate, there is too much fiction in the pulpits. Some people are getting there doctrine from Christian Fiction, and it causes confusion. The church i went to had a library full of fiction, even on the end times, prophecy etc.. why would i want to read that, when it is revealed to us in a non-fiction book called the Bible, that is why i think it is ridiculous. People are free to see or hear what they want, its just not for me. As far as Christian Horror is concerned, people in churches do not want to hear all the bad things in Revelation, too graphic i guess?
If i want something non christian to read i crack open the latest Hot rod,Pontiac enthusiast,High Performance Pontiac and Chevy,Muscle car review,Hot Rodding or even Jegs engine master challenge magazines.
