Amen! Resurrection Day!
" He is risen, indeed! "
...." and when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away..." Reminds me of a great old tune... it was in the Nazarene Hymnal (and I think in The Trinity Hymnal) "UP from the ground He arose..." { Try the Cyber Hymnal and sing along } |

Quote:
Low in the grave He lay, Jesus my Savior, Waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord! Up from the grave He arose, With a mighty triumph o’er His foes, He arose a Victor from the dark domain, And He lives forever, with His saints to reign. He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose! Vainly they watch His bed, Jesus my Savior; Vainly they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord! Death cannot keep its prey, Jesus my Savior; He tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord! |

It is because of this resurrection that my favorite verse of the Scriptures Is I Corinthians 15:19- If we have hope of Him only in this life we would be, of all people, the most miserable(Tony Bones Paraphrase Version).

Yup! Christ arose!
Kiwi Christian --- Yes, that is the correct title
... I remembered one of the lines (oops- I said ground- it is grave- ) and thought it was the Title. There are a couple more at www.cyberhymnal.com ( which is now called Net Hymnal it seems) that are good for Easter Sunday and ascension time... Charles Wesley had several great tunes. Check out "And can it be" and "Jesus Christ is risen today!" That man (and his brother John) had musical talent AND a good idea of what the Bible says about The Lord. |
