Technically, a post is automatically copyrighted by its author, and there is an implicit irrevocable license for the text to be used on the forum. But beyond that, any use that falls outside of legal "fair use" (short quotes and excerpts) should be cleared with the author. Things get a little murky when a poster posts something from another source, too.
