My main point was that we are commanded by God's holy word to submit to the higher powers and principalities of this world's governments, and to obey the rulers an every ordinances of men.
Some would have us think that because men are no longer under kingship's that Romans 13 doesn't fully apply today. But I beg to differ for the scriptures are clear on the matter and not once did any of the words used by Paul or Peter limit themselves to just kings and their monarchy's.
