Default The Scholar/Priest/Kings & Why they are amusing.

I think about my King James and the Received Text, in this I feel there is something profound, secure and wonderful. I am not a Textual Scholar, I am a Texas land man who took a little Latin in Prep-School. The Scholar/Priest/Kings (thats what they think they are) can laugh at my King James all they want. Like I say I am no Greek Scholar, BUT, I do know the basis for my NT is backed up by 96% of known documents. So why do I say the Scholar/Priest/Kings who mock us and our Bible are amusing? Well, their Nestle Aland Greek Text is now in the 27th edition, I hear they are now working on the 28th! 27 tries and they still CANNOT give you a NT! The Greek which undergirds our King Jimmy has not changed in ALL that time! (Nothing to change, as a great Anglican Pastor wrote :Received Text is to be understood as the THE Text to be Received and Accepted and Believed by the Church. Amen.) Another thread made me think about this and how glad I am to know when I hold the AV in my hands, I am reading the word of God. As for the Scholar/Priest/Kings, in a way we should pity them my friends, I think that the ROOT of the malice and scoffing at the REAL Bible stems from insecurity! Would you not be insecure if you were now working on a 28th edition New Testament? So smile, be happy! Take up your King James Bibles and read with confidence. Blessings.
