I will pray for you. I have a feeling that food might be running a little scarce in the Fall, and it wouldn't hurt to have a few non-perishables on hand to ease things a bit. Food prices are going to start acting like oil prices. We do a fair amount of shopping at the Dollar General and this week we've seen a significant increase in those prices. I think everyone else (the non-budget shopper) will start seeing the same type of increases in a month or two.

Not to fear-monger, but there is wisdom in preparation.

And brother, you have my sympathy living in hurricane country. We evacuated our youth prison twice last year due to hurricanes. The first time was only a week and I was such a rookie I didn't take the food out of our refrigerator the second time. That evacuation was almost a month. We still can't use our icemaker or water dispenser, and there's still a certain "aroma" lingering inside.
