For your information – a dog is not a "person" (it is not “someone”, i.e. "people")! In 48 years of marriage we have had several dogs (and cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, ducks, turtles, and Hawaiian “snakes”, etc.). They were all “pets” not “people”. And though I personally believe that dogs make the best “pets”, they are still dogs (animals) not "people", and to say otherwise flies in the face of the very Scriptures you are supposedly trying to defend.
