Additional thoughts on the above quotation from Job 4:
I am not at all convinced that this "spirit" was actually good. If the intent of the rhetorical question in verse 17 was to produce doubt in Job's mind when it was related to him by Eliphaz, and if it was being used to establish the primary argument by Eliphaz that Job was secretly hiding sin, then is it not possible that this "spirit" was the continued attempt by satan to break Job?

Please understand that I am not saying that everything these men spoke was false, but that the statements need to be compared to other Scripture for support. satan intermingled truth and falsehood when he spoke to Eve. I believe that these men were part of the continued effort by satan to weaken Job into sinning against God.
