May I say this in all Christian love and with your interests at heart, I would pray diligently on whether or not you should be in a Church that holds to ecumenical compromise (Rick warren for one) and more importantly compromise with the word of God.
I can identify with you as I myself belonged to a Church that practically mirrors what you have written about yours, and may I say that after one preacher quoted 2 lines of scripture and then pursued the sermon with 3 pages of CS Lewis I was completely sickened to my stomach with what had been (and I use the word very lightly) preached.
After that sermon (or should I say Book club reading) I dusted off my feet from that Church and I haven't looked back, don't settle in a Church that has compromised and is heading toward Rome.
