I use the King James in a church that goes the typical NLT and NIV route,when discussion doctrine we agree on most everything,however ,he has said to me that the later versions were written by scholars that were smarter than you or I.

II Peter 1 v 20 Knowing this first,that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Here is a question,does the NLT leave out Verses 18 through 20 in the last book of Revelation?
When going through Revelation (our preacher uses NLT) these verses were omitted.
I didn't know if it was the preacher not wanting to step on peoples toes for using different versions, or if they are just not in the NLT.
