Default A Bible I had rebound

This is a Ryrie Study Bible that I had rebound a few years ago. I had it done in Goatskin (Russell's hand finished, natural grain, Nigerian goatskin to be more precise). The endpapers are silk as are the three ribbon markers.

The binder I chose to do it was a bookbinder to the Queen in the 1970s and has also done work for the House of Lords and the British Museum, so I figured he must be pretty good.

There was nothing wrong with this Bible when I had it rebound, but the quality of leather used on most new Bibles these days is really sad in my opinion. The "genuine leather" cover that it came from the store with was stiff and had a plastic feel to it, I used to joke that it was bound in rat hide. Anyway, I was very happy with the results.
