I never heard any where that Sir Francis Bacon edited the KV1611. He left England at the time of King James because his studies of Alchemy were concidered demonic and after seeing th ehorific treatment of his friend John Dee he did not want to sufffer the same teatment he went to Germany and many beleived he traved to the New World and established the order of rose and Masonic offshoot. He was a scientist and may have been a freemason but he was not a translator of the KJV and I never saw his name on any list of translators.

I think your friend is wrong and it would be good for you to show him the truth. sounds like he got some bad second hand information.
