I'm familiar with the stuff that's being discussed here, as I've had a few experiences with things of similar nature.

I don't want to get into specifics, but I will mention the following:

• I lived in a 'haunted house' when I was a child, and heard manifestations
  
• I have felt an icy hand touch me, and it was not a dream
  
• I have heard footsteps coming from where no one could have been walking

The second and third items were after someone in our household had played with a 'white magic' kit, bought in the late 70s or early 80s.

Don't mess with that stuff, ever.
