Deu 18:10 There shall not be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination, [or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
Deu 18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
Deu 18:12 For all that do these things [are] an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
Tim, based on what I was always taught, a wizard is a male and a witch is a female, both who practice the same arts by definition of English. A sorcerer practices his or her magic by use of drugs, a necromancer practices their arts by contacting the dead. The witch at Ednor was also a necromancer, albeit she was a fake, up to the point Saul came to her. She screamed when she saw Samuel, she was not used to actually conjuring a dead person up.

Hope this helps

Grace and peace
