The Book with Seven Seals

What book was the book with seven seals? The Bible? The Book of Revelation? The Lamb's Book of Life? Give your explanation.

Revelation 5:1 "And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals."

what does the text literally say? that is the answer to your question.

as far as those who point to the seven bands on the edge of your bible that is a doctrine of man.

Hello, Cody and Chette!

I think the book there is just that, "a book" -- "written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals".:D

Since the seven seals were opened in the following chapters, I guess the things written within and on the backside of that book are all found in chapters 6 - 8. Each time a seal is broken, somethng happens and John records them. These chapters must be the contents of the seven-sealed book.

It is a book of Judgement. Judgment is both sweet and bitter just as John experienced it when he ate it.

it is just a book no need to spiritualize or Allogorize it

Greetings

My take on the "book" that was sealed with seven seals is that it is the Lamb's book of life (or life and immortality). You'll notice in verse 6 that the book was unsealed by Jesus after He was slain. Now compare this with Rev. 13:8.

Rev. 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Peace
