A young sister in Christ

Hello,

My name is Nasil and I recently joined this forum. I was led to this place while I was browsing through some websites that stand up for AV1611. And I actually decided to join after reading some posts posted here.

I got saved on August, 2001 (which was only couple months after I came to Canada) after reading a Chick tract in Korean language. I had been already attending a Bible-believing church since I came to Canada (June 2001) with my family, but with that "nominal Christian" attitude, I did not get saved till 2 months later. (Thank GOD, He did not call up his saved ones within that time!!!)

After I got saved, I started learning Bible; but with not much of prayer and Bible reading (basically not much personal fellowship with Jesus Christ), I soon backslided and went into the world (while still attending the right church). Now I am blessed to say that the Lord Almighty has not given up this sinner and still gave another chance to repent my sins and come back HOME and enjoy this indescribable joy in Him. (Heb.12:5-6) (2 Timothy 2:22)

Since I know that I wasted so much time before, I am trying to catch up the things I had missed before. (Trying to study and learn more, while praying for God's wisdom, knowledge, and understanding...) (Ephesians 5:15,16)

I thank God I found the very perfect Word and words of God (AV1611)!

Though Canada (more like Catholic-Canada) doesn't allow street preaching or "tracting" in public places, God still makes a way for us to go soulwinning weekly and get small number of people saved each week! Glory to God!!!

Though young and still have lots of works to do, I truly hope that Jesus returns today and take all saved Christians to that beautiful place where there is no sorrow, sickness, tears, or burdens. What a day that will be! :)

Welcome to the forum sister! Although I haven't been here for long, I got to say this place is great for Bible believers. I pray you enjoy fellowship with our brethren here and you learn a lot (like I have). Thank you for your testimony and thanks the LORD God for having you come here!
:amen:

Welcome, little sister! :yo: Your testimony is quite interesting, especially the method God used to reach you at the first (the Chick tract).

THank you for your testimony sister.

I love to hear testimonies from backsliders..

John Bunyan said they were the most beautiful, because of speaks of God's unending grace.

God bless :)

Greetings Nasil!

Glad to have you aboard.

Where in Canada are you located? I'm in Montreal and I think I'm the only Canuck on here!

Hello,
I'm in Toronto.
Beautiful place you are in! (although I've never been there..haha) And yes, it seems like you are the only Canuck here... and most likely I am the only "Torontonian" here.
So are there quite a number of Bible-believing churches over there in Montreal?

BornAgainBibleBeliever514 05-14-2009 05:52 PM

Hehehe, guess you've never been to Montreal yet, as you still think its a beautiful place. You think Toronto is Catholic? woohoo!
I liked Toronto, the places a tourist would see anyways, but I did walk the seedy streets at night, and found tons of masonic influence, but where is that absent anyways? Ever check out the police HQ downtown? Blatantly masonic statues at each corner.

Anyways, I digress. As far as I know there is only one King James Bible believing church in Montreal, and its actually on the sister island of Laval. I have to travel quite a ways to get there as I'm on the south end of the main island. From what I've found in IFBBB church listings, looks like you've got more options in Toronto and Ontario at large.

Also, I don't think its illegal to pass tracts here, I've never been told to stop, and our church does it en masse every Saturday at a major metro station.
The JWs are crawling all over, and THAT oughta be illegal, so if they can, why can't we?

So, although its no Bible-belt up here, we're not a frosty neighbor to the north, but valiant missionaries in another heathen land! We have an Alabamian PBI pastor, and a Tennessean PBI associate pastor, so we've got some of that southern hospitality and a very vibrant and loving congregation.

I trust you found a good church in Toronto. The only one I ever attended down there many years ago was the infamous Airport one, the crazy one.. you know the one. Sheesh, they gave me an niv (since burned) and whipped the poor teens into a frenzy of godlessness. I'm so glad I didn't get sucked into that! Praise the Lord for His protection!

So anyways, welcome to the forums, glad to see a fellow Canadian contending for the faith!
