Looks Can Be (and often are) Very Deceiving!

:pound:funny to imagine but many flaws look you can't see the hinge side of the door that is normally visible if the door is opened like that. see the white line in the knotty pine paneling you can follow the line on the right all the way through the mop board, take a closer look at the chair molding as well especially around the door. I have never seen a chair molding on the door jam like that, also look at the threshold it would normally be between the jam but it is outside the door jam. then look at the perspective line of the tile flooring. the one all the way to the right as you look at it does not match. also the back paws of the dog are not in the right position in order for him to hold that position also there is no shadow of the dogs tail on the wall at the same direction of the shadow of the chair leg. Definitely some manipulative work done to achieve this picture

My opinion is it is a photo like a poster that was made and then hung on the wall giving the 2 dimensional look of a dog suspended in a door way.

If you want to do some complex stuff with the photos, you might also check out GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program). It is similar to Photoshop, but free. I've used it for years as a Photoshop substitute and it's a very good program.

http://docs.gimp.org/en/ - You'll definitely need the documentation.

Also good is Cinepaint. Some movie studios use it to touch up individual movie frames or make posters, but it's only available on Linux or the Mac. A Windows version is in development.

You win the prize, ChaplainPaul! Good one.

The prize is a personalized copy of The Message, donated in your name to the clueless multi-versionist of your choice. :)

We once had a cat that would attempt this when we had to give him a bath. You could see the claw marks on the doorpost of the bathroom.
