Atheist says: Africa Needs God

As an atheist, I truly believe Africa needs God
"Missionaries, not aid money, are the solution to Africa's biggest problem - the crushing passivity of the people's mindset"...

Wow, that was an amazing article! I sent the author an email to encourage him and perhaps even open up a channel for witnessing down the road (if he responds).

Wow... it would be amazing if the author of that article gets saved.

I read the article. It's amazing what the Lord Jesus Christ is inspiring these brothers and sisters in Africa that even a professed atheist (God hater) is acknowledging Africa's need for God (thought sadly he doesn't believe in Him). What a testimony! Who knows, maybe one day this man will repent. I mean, it wouldn't be the first time I heard of a former atheist repenting. We should pray for theses brothers and sisters in Africa and also for the author of the article.

I liked his closing statement, what a great truth:
"Removing Christian evangelism from the African equation may leave the continent at the mercy of a malign fusion of Nike, the witch doctor, the mobile phone and the machete."

Yeah I really liked that as well, and it is so true.

Peace and Love,

But let me try an example: the answer given by Sir Edmund Hillary to the question: Why climb the mountain? “Because it's there,” he said.

To the rural African mind, this is an explanation of why one would not climb the mountain. It's... well, there. Just there. Why interfere? Nothing to be done about it, or with it. Hillary's further explanation - that nobody else had climbed it - would stand as a second reason for passivity.
After living in Africa, I would say that this is the best explanation of the mindset of those people with out Christ.

But let me also tell you that with Christ, things change. And the author is, as they say in the former British territories, "spot on".
