Thanks George!

For the work that you are doing here as far as your dispensational threads and exposing the errors in Calvinism...tremendous work, Brother!

This is my first post here and just want to say hello to all of you here...I am a King James Bible believer who is learning about dispensationalism and rightly dividing the word of God which was lacking in my part when I got caught up in Calvinism and Covenant Theology.

I have Sword Searcher and also want to thank Brandon for his outstanding work he has done...his contributions for the Lord will be rewarded richly, thanks Brandon!

Nice to meet you all and hope to have some wonderful fellowship with you all too.

Thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name ~ Psalm 138:2, KJV

Hello Cloudwalker,

Glad to have you here on the forum. I am new as well and have been very blessed by George's teachings. (George sounds a lot like the man that got my wife and I "squared away" before we got married. He went home to be with the LORD after 6 months of study. We miss him and haven't found many like him in our walk.)

I am interested in learning more about you and your history. Calvinism/reformed theology. I have family and friends that are really into this and their churches. When we talk about the bible and the truth, it seems as if we aren't even in the same room most of the time. I still love them in the lord though. I do get the feeling that they think I am crazy for believing my KJB and talking things so seriously.

Welcome,

Brother-Smith

Welcome cloudwalker,

Are you native American? I knew a man of tribal respect with that name, he was Shawnee (sp?).

Welcome to the forum, Cloudwalker! I arrived at this forum believing the KJV to be the best and most faithfully translated version from the textus receptus. Will Kinney, Bibleprotector and George Anderson, among others, have helped convince me that the KJV was actually inspired of God. That may not mean as much to me as others because I'm kind of a simple believer and I already knew by the Holy Spirit's testimony to me that the KJV was perfect before I came here. Now, though, any little niggling doubts are vanquished immediately. If any come up, all I have to do is post my question in Bible Versions, or email them, and these kind fellows will give an answer that is incontestable.

I started to read the Calvinism thread today but it's so much information it's kind of daunting so I will have to make time to read it all. Self discipline and time management are not my fortes, unfortunately. George's studies have helped me and a friend of mine immensely. By the Holy Spirit indwelling in me as well as by my own (slight) intelligence I can see the careful and true exposition of scripture in George's studies.

Brandon's SwordSearcher software has increased my ability to study and understand scripture exponentially. I had better get my husband SwordSearcher before I catch up with him! (Well, maybe in a year or two.)

May God bless you,

Jennifer

Actually, I started surfing the web on some different sites and got caught up in it...I wasn't really a full flegded believer in Calvinism but they almost had me covinced. :pound:

But, the more the Holy Ghost guided me in His Word I started to see that the Calvin doctrine just can't be correct. Hope that doesn't offend anyone here, I'm not really trying to attack...I just don't get Calvinism and how it is growing so rapidly in these days we live in.

:(

A warm welcome from the home of the KJB!

I was just wondering - is your forum title a Christian version of a certain star wars character?

Hope you enjoy the forum

The reason for my username is...I am a avid hiker, I have a passion for hiking, mountain climbing...being up in the clouds if you will. :D

Of course I bring Scripture with me and study God's word...I'm hoping one day while I'm up there in the mountains Christ will come and I'll have less travel time to get to Him in the clouds. :amen:

Cody1611 07-15-2009 12:56 PM

Amen, I enjoy reading Brother George's posts also. Btw, welcome. :D

Luke 07-15-2009 04:58 PM

Amen :) I appreciate brother George's posts (he must have some good eyes to distinguish all the HTML tags from the text!).

I also appreciate SwordSearcher. Much better than E-sword :D

Aloha brother,

From the late 1960's to the late 1990's our family's favorite past time was hiking and camping. In the course of 50 years I hiked every single river on the Island of Kauai (some to the source). Close to 40% of the island consists of a a very inhospitable area called the Alakai swamp (elevation 1,500 - 4,000 feet); my family and I explored and crossed the "Alakai" at least 50 times or more (sometimes camping for up to 2 weeks at a time with six kids and my wife and I.)

In 1961 my wife and I spent our honeymoon in Kalalau Valley - a remote valley on the island accessible only by boat or an 11 mile trail along cliff edges, etc. I miss doing those things, but with the family scattered to the four winds and me getting older, I haven't really hiked in years. :(

Being out in God's Creation is definitely a great time...sounds like you're out there in Hawaii or the Pacific? Lucky you...Being here in Connecticut we have a lot of camping and mountains for hiking...but Maine is my true passion...God's Country.

Mt. Katahdin is a true blessing...I love it in Maine.

Hey, brother! Nice to see you here.
My first impression was you're a fan of David Cloud and David Walker.

By the way, Dr. Laurence Vance's The Other Side of Calvinism is my favorite book on that subject.\

Actually, I haven't listened to David Cloud much...I think one sermon on the KJB.

David Walker on the other hand...never heard of him.

As far as Dr. Vance's book, I might have to check it out someday...he wouldn't be trying to persuade me to reformed theology by any chance, would he? :D

Aloha brother,

Thanks for the pics! :) My dad used to go to Maine for the Trout and Salmon fishing. He said it was gorgeous, and by the pictures it certainly looks so.

I was born in Middletown, Connecticut and lived in various towns there (Cromwell, Deep River, North Guilford, and Middletown). I left Connecticut in December, 1957 (Navy) and have never returned.

I lived in Hawaii (mostly on the the Island of Kauai) from 1958 to December, 2008 when my wife and I moved to Oklahoma to be with some of our family and to escape the high cost of living in the very Liberal (dare I say - SOCIALIST) State of Hawaii.

I have been enjoying your Posts - keep em coming! :D

Ya, Connecticut has changed since 1957...you aren't missing much. :D

Ah, good old Oklahoma...give my compliments to Les Feldick if you see him...I like his teachings on the word of God.

LOL, I'll try to keep you entertained just as long as I don't run into the Sheriff in town...a few Calvinists would be ok though. :D

George, you are a blessing to have here...all of you are.

Thanks for the welcome and the fellowship all. :)

Brother Cloudwalker,

I was wondering when someone at this Forum would mention Les Feldick! I have watched his program and read some of his writings. While I don't agree with everything that he teaches, I think that much of it was helpful to me, in beginning to understand about dispensations. He seems like a humble man that genuinely cares about the truth. I have seen him admonish people NOT to believe LES FELDICK or to quote HIM... but to believe GOD'S WORD (Les Feldick ALWAYS uses the KJV, which is another plus!). He tells people to quote the Bible and compare scripture with scripture. So, I do believe that his heart is in the right place and that he gives all the glory, rightfully, to the LORD.

Amen Sister. :)

I don't know everything about the man, but from what I have heard so far he seems to rightly divide the word and that would be the Authorized Version...:amen:.

I probably wouldn't agree with him on everything myself, then again, like you said, he seems very humble and ALWAYS points to what Scripture says, not what other men say...I am very thankful that God has given us His book so that the Holy Ghost can do His job helping me understand His word and not to totally put my trust in men...but I do like Les' teachings on the good book...he's probably my favorite to listen to and I guess that labels me a Hyper or Ultra...:D...that's ok, better than being labeled a Calvinist. :D

Forgive me but I also like this website...I'm sure most of you have heard or seen this also. I hope it's ok to post this website, I believe it lines up with what MOST people here believe.

Again, I'm not saying I agree with everything on this website...but then again, I'm not saying I don't either. :p :D

Grace, Sister! :)

I'm not familiar with Matthew McGee, so I will take a look at his website and compare with the KJV Bible and see how accurate it is. There are times when a man's teachings can help to clarify and uphold what the Bible says. There are other times when a man's teachings may be detrimental to our spiritual understanding. I am always hopeful that, with prayer and the working of the Holy Spirit, I am able to discern.

So, thanks for posting the website, brother.

Jassy
