Ridiculous KJV Bible Corrections:
Luke 4:4, Bread and Beer?

Luke 4:4 KJV And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

This is how the NIV, America's favorite, renders this verse:

NIV: Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone'"

Other English versions that pervert this verse include the RSV, NRSV, ASV, NASV, NABV, NCB, Living Bible, NLT, but the list goes on and on. The NKJV apostates knew that there were people who would check that particular verse right away. It is always the first that I check in any language. Since the NKJV liars have as their goal the aim of tricking KJV defenders into letting down their guard, they did not tamper with this verse directly. My NKJV, however, includes a footnote that casts doubt on the verse by saying the NU omits but by every word of God. The satanic symbol (triquetra) that is printed on NKJVs should be clue enough of the real nature of this translation, but footnotes like this should remove all doubt.

This verse is perverted in virtually all modern versions, not just English, but in translations in hundreds of other languages. In fact, there is scarcely a translation that has been done since the early 20th century that does not pervert this verse. Almost all that did include the whole verse are now out of print. Almost all of the Bibles being shipped overseas and distributed by missionaries now corrupt this verse, along with hundreds of others. The lack of concern over such blatant attacks on the Word of God at a worldwide level is, in this author's opinion, one of the most disgraceful and appalling shortcomings of modern "fundamentalist" Christianity. Most churches don't even want to know. They just want to boast of how many missionaries they support. They care nothing about whether or not they are distributing corrupt and perverted Bibles. I have even had KJV-only churches argue with me about it when the arguer knew nothing about the language of the discussion.

The Bible perversion crowd has been asked countless times why they would choose to use mangled texts that were found in garbage cans and hidden away in the harlot Church headquarters of the Vatican. They have been asked why they would use texts designed by demon conjuring, Blavatsky-loving, Darwinist, Marxist, Bible-scoffing apostates who confessed to not believing the Bible throughout their own writings. They have been asked why they would use "Bibles" that are owned by Catholics, pornographers, and communist organizations, and which are copyrighted. They have been asked why they would use texts translated by the worst kind of apostates, including Bible scoffers, witches, sodomites, lesbians, agnostics, atheists, and scores of abortion supporters. They also have been asked how they can ignore the vile and perverse nature of the churches that endorse these Bibles, and the lax standards of those that pretend to be fundamentalist, but whose members lack any kind of modesty, and fill their churches with demons through demonic music, and so-called slaying in the spirit. They never answer any of these questions and when they do they lie or cast false and irrelevant aspersions against King James himself. Arguing with those of reprobate mind is only fruitful when any of their potential victims are their to hear or read the argument, so that they may choose if they are to follow God or wicked men. The reprobate himself will never allow the Holy Spirit to interfere with his thought processes.

2 Peter 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Therefore, instead of wasting time giving dogs a chance to return to their own vomit, or washing sows, I'll discuss the damage done by perverting this verse and where it leads. The modern apostate, or marginal Christian, might ask why a few words matter that much. I will give several reasons.

1) The perverted version changes the meaning. It is this modern perverted variation that is quoted by the world, including professing atheists, agnostics, and so forth. It is not a dietary statement. It does not mean that we also need meat, potatoes, vegetables, fruit, beer, whiskey, fornication, or anything else in addition to bread. The world abuses it in this way, but it never meant that. It was intended as a reference to our need for the Word of God.

2) Since it is a quote from Deuteronomy 8:3 the implication is that Jesus did not quote the rest of the verse.

"And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live."

Was Christ confused about the verse? Would he have quoted it out of context with an altered meaning? Was he incompetent? Not hardly. The new versions would have us believe that he was.

3) The verse is quoted in its entirely in Matthew 4:4. Leaving it out of Luke 4:4 introduces a contradiction into the Bible that isn't really there.

4) It gives the modern church-goer a choice of which verse to use, according to whether he wants it to refer to God's Word, or if he wants it to explain his need for eating donuts and Ho Hos. He'll usually choose the latter course. It removes much of the Bible's power of conviction by giving the modern apostate the choice of how to read the verse. It puts man in charge of scripture and removes God from it.

5) It dishonors God's Word by elevating error-ridden texts compiled by heretics, Blavatskians, Darwinists, Marxists and sodomites, and placing them above the Bible that brought about the spread of God's Word worldwide. Of course, this problem also may be applied to many other modern version verses.

Readers may think of other reasons that hacking this verse is destructive, but these should suffice for convincing anyone who does not have a proclivity for his own vomit, or for wallowing in slop.

The preceeding is part of a series of examples of KJV verses that arrogant would-be scholars have tried to correct and showed themselves to be fools. These examples are for the benefit of those who would like more ammunition to defend God's Word against the attacks of the arrogant Bible "correcting" modernists. I hope that some of you find them useful.
