Anyone use Local Bible Publishers?
I am looking at a Large Print Plain Text Bible and was told that they are comparable to the PCE. http://lcbplansing.org/Bibles/Execut...rintItem215E1B |

If it is not the same as the PCE, it is not the PCE.

I have been looking for a budget leather KJV PCE bible. Is KJV Black Leather Bible by Collins the most affordable one? It's about $30 on amazon. Thanks for your help.

I bought that TBS Cambridge a year and a half ago, it was expensive (around 100$ CDN with tax and ship) but I was searching for the purest form possible, and from what I knew at the time, I figured that the Gail Riplinger site would be selling an honestly pure text. The Bible I received had and still has very stiff leather, and the first and last pages are difficult to turn to, despite much use and 'breaking in'. I also bought a small Pitt Minion Cambridge that I use everyday at work, which I like very much. I'll sit down one of these days and compare if these two I have are true to the PCE, and then post. Otherwise, it looks like I'll be adding one more Bible to my collection. Good thing I've been making all my notes only in the cheaper Thomas Nelson, which ironically, seems to have a very accurate text, all the features I want, and it very supple. Thanks very much Bibleprotector for this thread! |

Jeremy, thanks for the link and the comment. I ordered one this morning! It's the KJV Black Leather Bible one. Can't wait to read it. Take care.

Hallelujah!
May the Lord bless you with understanding as you read His Holy Bible, untampered, pure and preserved. I can guarantee that you will read this Bible with refreshed eyes towards the Lords word, and with renewed zeal to proclaim it! God Bless 1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Greetings,
My gold standard for the PCE is Bibleprotectors printed edition, ( I would love to see them publish a leather plain text copy). I also have the latest version of SwordSearcher. The KJV in SwordSearcher seems to be a perfect PCE , with some tiny, minor differences. The text seems exact, but I have noticed in 1 and 2 Timothy that SwordSearcher has multiple paragraghs where as Bibleprotectors does not. This seems a minor point, however you could argue that a paragragh may indicate the introduction of a new idea. To me, it isn't a big deal , but still something to consider. Hopeful |
